TWO PROPOSALS. ONE CLEARER PICTURE.

Compare Two HVAC Quotes, Side by Side

Have one or two written quotes? Choose a mode to check one quote or compare the listed prices, equipment, installation scope and warranty. Find what to clarify before choosing—not a winner chosen by price.

Read the scope before the price difference

This is a document-organizing tool. Copy only what the proposals say. A lower listed total can describe less equipment or different installation work; a higher total does not establish better workmanship.

Five statuses with different meanings

Included
The quote explicitly includes the item, according to your entry.
Excluded
The document explicitly excludes it. Ask whether it needs a separate price.
Not stated
The document does not mention it. This does not mean excluded or free.
Unclear
It is mentioned, but the responsibility, price or scope is unresolved.
Not applicable
The item is confirmed not to apply to this scope. It is not a zero-dollar assumption.

What is compared?

Each quote records its own system and replacement scope, listed USD total, tax basis, indoor/outdoor models, capacity and rating method. The installation matrix covers equipment, sizing, ducts, connections, placement, removal, access, permits, tax, startup and handover. You can also record written warranty, payment, allowance and change-approval terms.

What happens when the scopes differ?

A central AC quote and a heat-pump quote, or an outdoor-only replacement and a complete heating-and-cooling replacement, are flagged as different scopes. Both listed totals remain visible. B minus A is only arithmetic from your entries—not savings, a market estimate or a contractor rating.

Your quote data stays in this browser

Entries start in page memory. They are not placed in the URL or uploaded. Only “Save on this device” stores a local copy; later changes require another explicit save. A saved draft is offered for loading, not automatically displayed. Avoid saving on shared devices. “Clear saved draft” removes that saved copy; use “Start blank” to clear on-screen entries. Printed or downloaded copies are outside the tool’s control.

The tool cannot verify equipment compatibility, contractor credentials, workmanship, local requirements or the legal effect of terms. For the rules and limits, read our comparison methodology and privacy details.
